Canvastown

Canvastown was included in the Small Townships Programme in 2018. Following community consultation, a township plan was developed.

The key themes of the township plan were identified as:

• Gateway signage
• Speed reduction and traffic calming measures
• Pedestrians assess and circulation
• Enhancement of the existing playspace
• Development of the village green including streetscape and reserve area.

The work that has been completed to date include the miners hut, memorial restoration, upgrades to the playscape and stage one planting.
