Wandering Willie
Wandering Willie is a trailing perennial herb that originates from South America. It competes with native forest floor species and regenerating seedlings in disturbed forest and on stream margins. It spreads through seed and shoot fragments, which are often dispersed by water. It grows in damp, shaded places in semi-open forest and along stream margins. It is often found growing in gardens.
Wandering Willie infestations exist at localised areas throughout the North Island and in the South Island north of Canterbury. In Marlborough, localised infestations exist throughout the region.
