Water and Air Transport Subsidies

We are pleased to confirm the recovery work completed so far for Kenepuru Road will enable the easing of restrictions from 17/12/24. This will mean:

• The complete removal of the resident only restriction along the whole length of Kenepuru Road and its side roads.
• Weight and length restrictions will remain at 12.6m long and 6 tonne in weight on Kenepuru Road, however a permit for a vehicle outside these restrictions can be applied for in advance.
• The transport subsidies will no longer apply for trips from 17/12/24.

Notes

• To apply for a permit for an over dimension vehicle to travel on Kenepuru Road, email recovery@marlboroughroads.com or call 0800 213 213. Please note that a minimum of two working days are needed to process a permit request.
• There will planned construction closures on Kenepuru Road for repair works for the next two years. These may result in restrictions on the Kenepuru Road which subsidies will be applicable for. These times restrictions will be communicated in advance via the weekly roading recovery newsletter and the Antenno app.
• Permits may require pilotage, depending on the overall length of the vehicle and the time of travel
