What is an emergency or essential service for the purposes of road closures and access.
- Emergency Services – Ambulance, Fire, Police, Defence Force
- Civil Defence and MDC initiated emergency works e.g. flood bank work
- Commercial Food Supplies e.g. bread truck delivering to supermarket/shop
- Animal/Farm Welfare – includes veterinary services (Fonterra and Farmlands if passable)
- Medical Supplies
- Gas, Power, Phone, Water or Sewerage connectivity e.g. Marlborough Lines or Chorus
- Trades undertaking essential repairs or maintenance
- Mail Delivery
