Industry Group - Blenheim Business Association (BBA)
Under the auspices of the Smart+Connected Visitor Economy Industry Group and its Adaptive Action Plan, the Blenheim Business Association was formed in early 2015.
The Association has a shared vision of a Blenheim Town Centre that beats as the heart of the region, and acts as a hub for Marlborough's thriving industries, events and recreational activities, showcasing our finest retail, dining and cultural experiences.
Amongst the early successes achieved by the BBA is the promotion of alfresco dining in the Blenheim Town Centre - partly as a result of the Association's efforts, the number of options for outdoor dining has grown significantly over the past few years.
Key initiatives under development include:
- The Marlborough Mile - a mile-long walking route around the Blenheim Town Centre, taking in the major attractions and incorporating a number of creative installations aimed at showcasing the region's history, economy and communities.
- Event Partnerships - the BBA partners with major events such as Feast Marlborough and various conferences hosted at the Marlborough Convention Centre, in order to attract visitors and Marlborough residents into Blenheim Town Centre.
