Restricted Building Work (RBW)
Restricted Building Work was introduced in 2012 to help ensure New Zealand homes are structurally sound and weathertight. Only Licensed Building Practitioners can carry out or supervise RBW, although you can build, renovate or repair your own home using Owner-Builder Exemption provided you qualify.
