Online Tenders Process
From January 2022, tenders will need to be filed with the Council by electronic means only.
Council's Contract and Risk Policy Manager Greg Townsend advises the change had been considered for a while and reflected the general direction of these types of transactions.
Council has been asked by people submitting tenders when we will make the change, following the success of Council moving to electronic release of tenders some years ago.
The transition to electronic-only tenders will mean the tender box at Council's reception will be removed and tenders will only be submitted online, using a similar process to many of Council's other online applications and submissions.
This change will also allow us to rethink traditional tender closing times and will save substantial printing costs for tender submitters.
Council staff will be available to assist if a tenderer has problems uploading their tender.
