Speed Management Plan
In accordance with the Setting of Speeds Limits Rule 2022, Marlborough has prepared a Speed Management Plan for local roads within Marlborough.
The Speed Management Plan is being developed by Marlborough District Council (Council) to support the overall road safety goal of reducing deaths and serious injuries within the Marlborough District. The Speed Management plan will next be reviewed in 2027.
It should be noted that the Setting of Speed Limits Rule 2024 will change some of the implementation plan. Under the 2024 Rule, all schools are to have variable speed limits outside them during school drop off and pick up. These will be in place by the end of 2026.
