What To Do If Your Building Has a Placard
White Placards
- Undertake necessary repairs to the building. (Property owners should take photos of damage prior to undertaking work and should contact EQC and Insurance before undertaking repairs.)
Yellow Placards
- Undertake necessary repairs to make buildings safe. (Property owners should take photos of damage prior to undertaking work and should contact EQC and Insurance before undertaking repairs.)
- Contact Council once the building is made safe.
- Council will arrange to undertake a re-inspection.
- Placard removed if made safe.
Note: Due to travel logistics, revisits will be timed to cover a number of properties in one trip.
Red Placards
- Undertake necessary repairs to make buildings safe. (Property owners should take photos of damage prior to undertaking work and should contact EQC and Insurance before undertaking repairs.)
- Property owners to complete either repairs, or demolition work to make safe.
- Once works completed, owner is to advise Council.
- Council will arrange to undertake a re-inspection.
- Placard and notice removed if made safe.
