Marlborough Amateur Radio Club is running training sessions for people keen to gain their amateur radio license on 10 and 11 May.
Marlborough Emergency Management encourages people to take up this opportunity, particularly those in remote communities or those interested in supporting emergency responses as a volunteer.
Radio is a resilient method of communication, especially if other methods are impacted through loss of power or damage to infrastructure.
