Proposed Temporary Road Closure – New Year’s Eve - Picton

On Tuesday 31 December 2024 the following portion of carpark and road will be closed to ordinary vehicle traffic for the Picton New Year Celebrations Tuesday 31 December 2024 to early Morning Wednesday 1 January 2025

London Quay

• High St Int to Intersection of London Quay and Wellington St from 5pm 31 Dec 2023 to 2am 1 January 2025

During the period of closure, ordinary vehicular traffic may use the road being closed between events under the supervision and authority of an Officer of the New Zealand Police (Traffic Safety Branch).

It will be an offence under the above regulations for any person other than under the authority of an authorised permit to use the road for ordinary vehicular traffic during the period of closure.

This notice is given pursuant to the Transport (vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965.

Persons wishing to object to the proposal are to lodge their objection and grounds thereof in writing before 13 December 2024, at the office of Marlborough Roads, The Forum, Market Street, Blenheim, PO Box 1031, Blenheim, 7240.
