Coalition Government announces increase to parking infringement fees

The Coalition Government has announced an increase to parking infringement fees which come into force from 1 October.

This is the first review since 2004 which has resulted in at least a 70 per cent increase in infringement fees across the board.

Councils have no control over the setting of parking infringement fees. Offences relating to vehicle compliance such as REGOs, WOFs and COFs have been excluded at this point.
