Glamorous gowns on show
Some fantastic frocks from the Marlborough Museum’s large textile collection are on show this weekend as part of Blenheim’s Nativity Church Glamorous Gowns fundraiser.
Glamorous Gowns of the 20th Century runs from 10 to 12 May, Mother’s Day weekend, and includes an ‘elegant evening not to be missed’ on the Saturday night and a display on Sunday from 9am to 3pm. Entry is by koha/donation.
Marlborough Museum Manager Liz Ward said she was delighted to be loaning three gowns to the show.
“The museum has a large textile collection and we saw this as an opportunity for the public to see some of the collection in a different setting. It’s also an opportunity for the museum to engage our audiences in a different way,” she said.
