Water Shutdown - Lakings Road, Battys Road and Bary street
There is a planned water shutdown on Wednesday 9" April 2025 between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm in the following areas:
residents and businesses served by Lakings Road, Battys Road, and Bary Street water mains that the water supply will be shutdown on:
Properties in the shutdown area will receive a shutdown notice.
Every property in the shutdown area will receive this shutdown notice. The shutdown is to allow the contractor, Findlater Construction, to connect the new watermain in Lakings Road with the existing watermains in Battys Road, and Bary Street.
Residents are advised to store water prior to the shutdown for use during the period when water is not available. Landlords, please advise your tenants.
If this day is not suitable due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the work will be postponed until the following day Thursday 10" April 2025.
When water is restored, every effort will be made to remove air from the system. Residents may find that they have to bleed air from their property pipework. Running a couple of taps slowly for 2 to 3 minutes should remove residual air.
Council apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause and advises that the supply may be resumed at any time between these hours without further notice.
