Road Update Friday 1 November

This is the last update that will be sent for the labour weekend weather event, unless something major should change. Updates to roads in recovery zones will continue to be included in the weekly road recovery newsletter.
Following extensive work from crews on Awatere Valley Road this week, the road is now open to all vehicles. Road users are advised to travel to the conditions and follow any traffic management signage.
The following remains closed:
Ferry Bridge picnic area, Spring Creek
Caution Advised:
Port Underwood Road, approximately 1km from Whatamango Bay when travelling from Picton
Archers Road, Tennyson Inlet near Tuna Bay.
Wakamarina Road is down to one lane in places and road users are advised to travel with caution and to the conditions.
Taylors Pass Road ford, 4WD only
Tapps Road, Canvastown
Top Valley Road
Northbank Road, 22km from the start of the road is down to one narrow land. No heavy vehicles passed this point.
Onamalutu Road

Awatere Valley Road, 3.8km up the valley from Limestone.
SH63 at Renwick between Brydon and Anglesea Streets
Queen Charlotte Drive, between Cullen Point and Moenui
SH6 between Havelock and Bulford Road, Rai Valley.

Jones Road, Grovetown, approximately 1km before the Morgans Road intersection.

Te Towaka – Port Ligar Road at Admiralty Bay
Kaiuma Bay Road approximately 3km prior to the Kaiuma Bay Settlement

Kenepuru Road open to residents for essential travel only with 4WD recommended.
