Dalton’s Bridge Full Closure
Update: 9 August 2024
Due to wet weather, sealing that was planned for today at Daltons Bridge has been postponed until Monday 12 August.
As planned the bridge will reopen to all traffic today Friday 9 August at 5.00 pm, however a short closure will be needed from 9.00 am to 12.00 pm on Monday 12 August, to complete the sealing.
During the closure all vehicles will need to take the detour via Te Hoiere Road.
A 50km temporary speed limit will be in place on Dalton’s Bridge until works are completed.
During the six weeks of closure the bridge has undergone abutment repairs including the building of a mechanically stabilised earth wall, along with bridge maintenance.
