What are Smart Maps?

Marlborough District Council Smart Maps are a suite of user-friendly maps designed to provide fast access to information. Maps are easy to print and can be viewed on smartphones or tablets as well as laptops and PCs.

We've preconfigured each map with specific information, for example, refuse and recycling collection days or Blenheim CBD parking information. Many maps are dynamic; zoom in and select a point of interest, say, a particular car park, and a popup will display more information, in this instance park type, parking restrictions and fees. Printing your own copy of the map is quick and easy - and the "draw" options allows you to personalise the map by adding your own markings to it.

Property

The property map allows you to search on address, legal description, place name, property number, road name or valuation number - or just zoom in and select a property of interest. A popup window will display property and valuation information, and links through to property files, where you can view property and resource consent files for the property, and rating information, where you can view the property's rating information.

Cemeteries

The cemeteries map gives an overview of cemetery locations in Marlborough. Zoom in on a cemetery, see a map of plots. Selecting a plot will give you information on who is interred there, and, if available, a photo of the headstone. If you know the full name of the person you're seeking, you can use the search box to find them. If not, find out using our cemetery search page, then return to the map and enter their details.

Refuse/Recycling

This map features the locations of coin skips and transfer stations as well as collection days. Zoom in on your property in Blenheim or Picton and you'll see what day street collections take place. Further information accessible by zooming in and choosing a highlighted site or area includes transfer station hours and coin skip costs.

NZTM Coordinate Projection Change
