Whangamoa Saddle night closures

Overnight resealing and maintenance works are planned for the SH6 Whangamoa Saddle, between Rai Valley and Hira, and SH6 Pelorus Bridge.

From 23 February to 13 March SH6 Whangamoa Saddle will be closed from 8pm until 5.30am, Sunday to Thursday. The road will open once to let traffic through. If travelling overnight, be at the closure points - the weighbridge in Hira, and on the Rai Valley straight at Rai Engineering & Mechanical - by 12.30am.

On 23 February, Pelorus Bridge will close from 8pm until 5.30am for repairs. It will open at 12.30am to let queued traffic through.

During the closure the alternate route between Blenheim and Nelson is via State Highway 63 and St Arnaud.
