Recycling - Yellow Bin

The yellow recycling bin goes out on the same day as the maroon glass crate. They are collected every two weeks, alternating with the red waste bin.

Please make sure you have your bin and crate ready on the kerb by 7am on collection day.

Do not overpack the bin - keep items loose.

Leave your bin out until 5pm if it is not emptied.

What goes in the yellow bin?

Plastics
Plastic material displaying recycling symbols 1, 2 and 5 are accepted. Everything should be rinsed.
Metal cans and tins
Steel and aluminium cans can all be accepted. Everything should be rinsed.
Newspaper, other paper & glossies
Ensure the lid can close to stop items blowing away.
Cardboard
This includes egg trays and pizza boxes, cleaned of all food scraps.
