Planned Water Shutdown - Francis Street, Blenheim
There is a planned water shutdown for residents and businesses served by Francis Street, Seymour Street and Scott Street water mains on:
Monday 24 February 2025 between 10.00 pm and 4.00 am
The shutdown is to allow the contractor, Simcox Construction, to connect the new watermain with the existing watermain at Seymour, Scott, and Francis Streets intersection.
Residents are advised to store water prior to the shutdown for use during the period when water is not available.
If this day is not suitable due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, the work will be postponed until the following night Tuesday 25 February 2025.
When water is restored, every effort will be made to remove air from the system. Residents may find that they have to bleed air from their property pipework. Running a couple of taps slowly for 2 to 3 minutes should remove residual air.
Council apologises for any inconvenience that this may cause and advises that the supply may be resumed at any time between these hours without further notice.
