Gorse (RPMP 2018)

Gorse is subject to a Sustained Control programme as part of the Regional Pest Management Plan 2018 (RPMP).
Land occupiers with Gorse on their property are required to destroy all broom plants within 10 m of adjacent property boundaries, before they produce seed, where the adjacent property is free of Gorse.
In the Waima/Ure, Upper Wairau and Upper Awatere areas of Marlborough, Council has defined broom Control Zones and/or Containment areas. Occupiers are required to destroy Gorse plants as defined in the Regional Pest Management Plan 2018.
